Christmas Tree

We put our tree up yesterday! YAY!
It makes me happy to see it up.
We have a small fake tree but it's our tree and I love it.
We let the kids decorate pretty much the whole thing themselves this year.
It's so cute and funny! 1 branch has about 7 ornaments on it thanks to Blake.

I got them little Santa hats at the 99 cent store to wear while they decorated and I think they looked adorable!

Each year we get the kids and ornament. I LOVE this tradition.
Blake got a fire truck this year.

And Bella got a baby on a moon. She loves both of those things.

And plus when I was a baby got a very similar ornament. So now we both have one.

After we were done decorating I was talking to Blake about Santa.
If he knew who he was which he said DADDY!
And then we talked about his sleigh and reindeer and all that fun stuff.
A couple minutes later Blake goes
"MOM, you hear that?
It's Santa Claus!
We all start to laugh and then he goes
"I think it's not Santa, it's just a car"

Funny stuff!!!

Here is a couple more pics from yesterday's fun.

Say What?

Blake has been cracking me up lately with his spunky remarks.
The other day he wanted something (I can't recall what it was) but I said no.
Then Bella woke up from her nap so I went in to change her and she asked me if I was happy to which I replied "yes I'm happy are you happy?"
Bella: "Bella, HAPPY!"
Then Blake appears in the door and says
"I'M MAD!" and storms off!
This might not sound to funny but he showed up in that door way like a ninja and I just couldn't stop laughing.

The kids have had coughs forever! Going on 4 weeks now. The dr said it's just a virus but it's so annoying!
I got them ready for bed and was getting their medicine ready and they were going CRAZY!! So I say..
"Hold on I only have two hands!"
Blake then says:  "And two feet and ONE WEENIE!"
I laugh and say no girls don't have weenies and he says:
"That's right you have one butt"

I need to find myself.
I need to learn the secret of being content in any and every situation just like Paul did in Philippians.
I need to find my light again and let it shine
I need to do things that bring me joy.
Light candles
Play with my kids.
I have lost myself somewhere in these hard times
and need to get back to the basics and find my contentment and happiness.

Bella's 2!

Our life has been insane lately so yes I am over a week late!!!!

But I think I'm still in denial that my baby girl is 2!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

It happened way to fast.

2 years ago I gave birth to the most gorgeous little girl I had ever seen. It was a very painful and trying labor but in the end I literally laughed her right out!

And that's how I hope our lives will be. She will test me in ways I never could have imagined, she might even cause me pain, but in the end we will laugh about it.

She was born at 10:05am
weighing in at 7lbs 5oz and 20 inches long

She hasn't had her 2 year old appt yet but at her 18mon she was
2 feet 7 inches
and weighed 21 lbs 6oz!

She LOVES Baby dolls!
She has an obsession with shoes!
She is serious at meal times. The girl can eat!
She loves her brother
She loves to be outside
She is learning to ride her bike
She is interested in potty training but Mommy's not pushing it
She still sleeps with her silky (s).
Her favorite show is bubble guppies

Her favorite food pretzels!
She loves Minnie Mouse
She loves books
She loves to "paint" (color)
She is in her big girl class at church and doing great!

She does not like broccoli
large crowds
nap time

I love her smile
her curls
how she opens her mouth as big at it will go when she's excited about something.
How she loves her baby dolls
That she asks me to "hold you"
Her real laugh and her fake one.
Her Independence (well sometimes, other times it makes me sad she doesn't need or want my help as much)
Her love for her daddy and brother
I love how polite she is. She hardly ever forgets to tell you thank you. For everything!
I love her balance of girly girl and tomboy
I love how she wants to do everything Blake does.

I love everything about her!

Happy Birthday princess.

Mommy loves you!

Quote of the day...lost baby!

Since Dustin is only home on the weekends right now my honey-dew list for him gets a lil long some days.

So as he was out back mowing the yard. I remembered another thing for him to-do!

Change Bella's baby swing to a big girl swing!

Last week they were fighting like "cats and dogs" over Blake's swing. So I thought wow I guess it's time!

So he took down her soft baby pink swing and put up the regular big kid swing.

As I watched her jump right on and Blake on his and Daddy pushing both of them, they looked HUGE!!!

So I make the remark...

Were did my babies go?

To which Bella replies....

Your baby lost! My baby right there.

As she points to her pink baby doll by the slide!

I guess she's a little right and it broke my heart.

I was so caught up in the moment I didn't think to get a picture. Sorry guys.

Embrace the camera before bed.

It's been awhile since I've blogged at all or embraced the camera.
My life has been going through lots and lots of changes and new adventures, adjustments, and just has felt unsettled for awhile. But I am praying things will get more routine and calm down a bit for us soon.

Anyways I just got home with my lovies after working tonight and I missed them so much and they were being so adorable I had to snap a couple pics of us together.

I know me going back to work part time is needed and makes their lives better in the long run. But boy is it hard to leave these cute faces at all! I miss them so much while I'm gone.

But God has a plan and I just keep reminding myself it's better than my plan.

Now it's your turn to embrace the camera! Ready, set, go!!

Link up your sweet, silly and everyday moments using nothing but cell phone pics!

We got the kids Halloween costumes this week!

Minnie Mouse

Super Why

The kids got their first pony rides! I sadly missed most of the party cause I had to go to work. But I'm thankful for family who watched them so they could have fun!

For Awana's Blake heard a story about how God created everything and was asked to draw someone God created. He drew Daddy.

Blake helping me peel the paper off broken crayons, so we can melt them down into rainbow Minnie crayons for Bella's party

Yes Blake lives in his Super why costume. I have to sneak it into the washer every once in awhile.
So he wore it to the park and it was hilarious because all the kids were just following him around. Even this lil 1 year old just kept trying to touch his cape and just kept saying "super why" over and over and over! He was so excited! It was like that lil boys Christmas. hahah

Bella is getting so brave. She wants to do whatever Blake does but then she'll turn look at me and say
"I'm scared! Help me"
It's so sweet. That's exactly what she just said in this pic.

This weeks challenge was to take a pic of DIY project so here our my home made Mickey and Minnie party hats.

Now it's your turn to join in on the fun and link up!

Quote of the week

I've been saving this one for awhile and just trying to find the time and motivation to blog. But I finally made the time to sit down and blog this cute quote before I forget about it.

So for Halloween Blake wanted to be Super Why.

I told him we would buy it for him soon. But in the meantime he could use his silky like a cape.

So I tied it on him and he was super excited. I told him there you're just like Super Why!
He asked:
I can fly now?
I said Yeah! Thinking he knew pretend.
He took off running and leaped into the air arms out!!!!
He landed right on his tummy about an inch away from smacking his head into the wall.
He stood up, gave me a dirty look at said....
"I can't fly!"

Well we finally did get his costume on Friday and he has worn it pretty much nonstop since.

Share your simple, sweet moments from the week using nothing but cell phone pictures.
It doesn’t have to be Instagram (which requires an iPhone), any cell phone pics will do!
Friday night we had our monthly Bunco night. The theme was socks! So I rocked my knee highs!

While mama was at Bunco daddy took the kids to toysrus and let them pick a toy. Bella of course picks another baby doll. She calls this one pink baby. And she hugs on her all day!

Sunday our niece Ashley had a dance party! My sister always puts together the greatest goodie bags for the kids. Always filled with lots of chocolate and one annoying toy. hahah!

Isn't it officially fall? Well not if you live in So Cal. It's still in the upper 90's here. So the slip n slide still gets plenty of use each day.

Well I think Blake is getting to the age were naps aren't gonna happen daily. Which then often keeps Bella awake too. Unless of course I have to go somewhere and they take a trip in the car. Then they both knock out!

AWANA's is every Wed. I finally got Blake his Cubbies vest. I was super excited about it. Cause it's ADORABLE. Well Blake wasn't excited about it. In fact it took a gum bribe to get him to put it on. But in the end I won right?

My BFF and I went to a bridal shower! We ate, drank, and got all dolled up. Good times!

Thermal batman shirt, and Capt. America in 90 degree weather running laps around Gramma's backyard! Sounds fun right. Well they loved it! Then went in the house and stripped off their shirts

This week’s InstaChallenge: What is something you really dislike?
I hate it.
It never ends
I can never be caught up
Always a hamper or basket full
Never enough hangers
Ugh I loath it.

Now it’s your turn to grab a button and link up!
